About our LiRN Library Assistant
and Law Association Administrator
The Bruce County Courthouse Library is managed, staffed and administered by the Bruce Law Association, on behalf of LiRN. The large city Libraries have many employees including librarians, research librarians, IT and communications staff and others. As ours is a small County Library, we have only one person on staff, our LiRN Library Assistant and Law Association Administrator, a position currently held by John Gilbert.
John is a retired lawyer, known to many of our members, and is very pleased to be back working part-time with so many of his former colleagues and friends within the courthouse and judicial system.
John is also pleased to assist members and associate members with their Library related needs. Whether it's research, facilitating training on the use of our ever evolving and expanding online e-Research tools, finding good old-fashioned texts (or sourcing texts not in our collection through the inter-library loan system), sourcing CPD . . . etc. . . . etc.
